The Happy Startup Summercamp tickets have officially gone on sale as of last week. Here’s a round up of why you definitely won’t want to miss the UK’s first startup festival.
WTF is this all about?
We’re bringing together an outstanding lineup of thinkers, do-ers and makers to inspire you, help you live a better life, get more from your work or business and make the most of your time on this planet.
Life is short and we’re interested (some would say obsessed!) in seeing how we can live happy and balanced lives, whilst also achieving success in business . That’s easier said than done, and this weekend is all about figuring it all out. It’ll take place on the 19-21 September when 75 likeminded souls will embrace the great outdoors, camp under the stars (or glamp if you opt for one of the luxury bell tents!) and gather for 3 days of learning, inspiration & fun. We’re working round the clock to make sure this is an experience you won’t forget in a hurry.
Sounds like fun? Read on.
Join the camp
While the web is a very powerful medium nothing can replace real life experiences particularly when learning is a key element.
We’ll be waking up to 300 acres of unspoilt countryside and will hear from some of the leading minds in new, better ways of doing business, personal growth and productivity. Plus, there’ll be some fun activities such as yoga, meditation, bushcrafting and bread making (and we’ve got a few surprises up our sleeves!).
There’ll be talks, woodland workshops, delicious local food, drop in clinics, early morning walks, local craft ales, DJs, movie screenings, an exclusive Sunday Assembly and much more.
…what an incredible lineup it is. Our host for the weekend will be one of our favourite people in the world – Sanderson Jones, stand-up comedian (he sold out The Sydney Opera House, by hand…), former World Record holder of the world’s longest hug (an impressive 24 hours, 33 minutes) and co-founder of The Sunday Assembly, a godless congregation that celebrates life.
We’re delighted to welcome speakers joining us from all across the world including Mark Rowland from Zappos’ culture training spin-off Delivering Happiness, Laila Pawlak from the Dare2 Mansion in Denmark showing us all how to make work more like a professional playground, Kees Klomp on buddhism in business, imagination entrepreneur and investor Tai Lopez, Miranda Ash from the democratic pioneers WorldBlu, Andy Budd from one of the UK’s best design agencies Clearleft, and many many more (see the full line-up and speaker profiles at happystartupsummer.camp).
So what’s included?
The good news is we’ve extended early bird tickets until July 31st, the bad news is there’s only a handful left. The £399 ticket price includes:
- Camping for 3 days and 2 nights
Bring your own tent for or hire one of our luxury shared bell tents with all bedding included for an affordable £80.
- ALL talks, workshops, entertainment, drop-in sessions & activities
We’ll have 12 inspirational talks, 10 super practical workshops, an open mic session where you can share your idea or project to get help on, a startup skillswap and practical drop-in sessions.
- Local food, great wine, awesome ales
Entry includes ALL food and drink for the weekend. Great local food from Ren’s Kitchen and tea, coffee & snacks supplied throughout the day. Wine with the evening meals is included, and a paid bar will be provided with local ales supplied by our friends at Beer Bods.
- FREE goodie bag!
Every attendee to summercamp will receive a goodie bag containing Do What You Love e-course worth £150, How to be a productivity ninja paperback book worth £12.99 plus lots more.
- And last but not least, meet some amazing, likeminded people
The trick here is it’s not about the content or the food or the location (although these are obviously key). For us, this event is about you, the people attending. We’re hoping that you’ll inspire each other to make your dreams happen, help one another on your journeys ahead and make friends for life. Great ideas and connections don’t happen in the boardroom or at a stuffy networking event. It’s time to get back to basics.
So come join us, to unplug, get inspired and make it happen. Miss it and you’ll regret it. Book your place now (we’ve also got 3 month payment plans available on request if you want to spread the cost).
Some images from last year’s Summercamp in London
See this feedback from one of the attendees last year:
“I just wanted to send you a note to thank you so much again for the incredible Summercamp you organised. It was inspiring to hear from so many great speakers who are doing such amazing things.
What a brilliant line up of people. I also loved all the little details and thoughtful touches that went into the event – the location was very fitting, the welcome was suitably happy, and the interaction and energy throughout the day was fantastic.
I took such a lot away from the event, so I wanted to thank you properly for all the effort you put into it. There was such a great vibe from all attendees and a really lively community has been built. Great people, great food, drink and speakers. What more could you want from an event?”
And if that’s not sold it for you, just have a look at the comparison with your average suited and booted conference :)
And if you can’t make it this year, why not help us out and spread the word at www.happystartupsummer.camp
