We help you turn your startup idea into a happy, thriving business

Look who’s coming to Summercamp + last day today

vibe

The countdown has started and things are ramping up at Happy Startups HQ in the build up to our flagship event in September – our 3rd Happy Startup Summercamp. We’ve now got people travelling in from as far afield as Bali, India, Russia, Israel as well as all over Europe and the UK. Today is your last chance to book and guarantee a bell tent spot (we’re throwing this in for free to, it’s usually £95). It will make your stay feel even more like home.

“Summercamp is a joyful, peaceful weekend that somehow gets everyone to tune into what they’re actually meant to be doing with their life – and then shows them how to do it.” Charles Davies

Last but not least

As well as an incredible line-up already in place we’re delighted to announce our final 3 speakers who’ll be joining us to share their story:

1438259627946Marianne Cantwell, Free Range Humans
What if you could do work you loved, on your own terms, from anywhere in the world? What if you had someone on hand to guide you, who had not only done this themselves, but also helped thousands of others to do it too? AND, what if this person was straight-up fun to hang out with and learn from? Does that sound a bit too good to be true? Well, it’s your lucky day. Author and coach Marianne Cantwell will be joining us at camp to tell her story and show us why and how we should go free range.

Rob Forkan, Gandys Flip Flops
Rob will tell the story of how he and his brother Paul have channelled personal family tragedy into the creation of a flip flop brand whose mission is to build children’s homes in India. An unexpected journey, from Croydon to Brixton via the sub-continent, provided an unorthodox education, a sense of adventure and the unimaginable loss of both parents. It is a story that includes: the tenacity of four young siblings who hitchhiked 200 miles to safety; the humour behind the brand name; and the incredible ambition to create something that both honoured his parents’ memory, and helped fellow orphans. We’re lucky to have Rob join us to share the incredible Gandys story.

Kumaran Mani, First Planet
Despite running a hugely successful IT Company from Chennai, India, Kumaran’s hunger for learning led him to join our Startup Home School online program at the tail end of last year. His wide-eyed curiosity and warm personality shone through and he made a real impression on us. Fast forward a few months and Kumaran and his wife Latha joined us for our retreat in the Alps – a week none of us will ever forget. He told his life story and inspired all that were there that day – with both tears and laughter. We had to invite him to camp to give him a bigger platform.

Happy Campers

A BIG part of Summercamp (and all our events in fact) is the people that attend, people like you and me. There is no ‘us and them’. Everyone has a story to tell, a chance to ask questions and connect with speakers at a deeper level than most conferences. There are no cliquey speakers dinners or ‘VIP’ parties. We are one community and you’ll get to experience it when you come yourself.

As who’s there is as important as who’s speaking, we’ve put together a list of who’s coming to camp so far. Check it out here and see who you’ll be sharing a campfire chat with in a few weeks.

Still not decided?

If you’ve been receiving our emails for a while, believe in what we’re doing and haven’t quite yet taken the leap to make it to one of our events then what’s stopping you? If you have any questions about the event just hit reply, otherwise…
